On Wednesday, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell told Congress this week that Trump’s tariffs are likely to push inflation higher in the coming months, warning that consumers will bear the cost.

“There will be some inflation from tariffs coming,” Powell said during Senate testimony Wednesday.
