Long-range planning by government land-use planners – while it disrespects individual choices – also gets lots of stuff wrong. Very wrong. Cato Institute Senior Fellow Randal O’Toole addressed some of the problems with long-term land-use planning at Cato University in Rancho Bernardo, California in July. O’Toole is author of the forthcoming Cato book, Gridlock.
