When Harvard Law Professor Lawrence Lessig announced to run for president primarily to change the way campaigns are financed, he pointed to the 1968 campaign of Eugene McCarthy as an example of a single issue campaign that made a big impact. However, the McCarthy example stands at odds with Lessig’s campaign platform. John Samples explains.
