Jacob Winter

Research Associate

Jacob Winter is a research associate in economics at the Cato Institute, where he has managed the Research Briefs in Economic Policy series since August 2022. His work focuses on the unintended consequences of government policy, particularly drug prohibition. A native of Mid-Michigan, Jacob received his BA in economics from Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude and with highest honors. He lives in Boston, where he is a high school government and economics teacher.
