David Andolfatto

David Andolfatto is Professor of Economics at the University of Miami. He previously served as a Senior Vice President in the Research Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Before that, he was a Professor of Economics at the University of Waterloo and Simon Fraser University before joining the Fed in July 2009. His articles have appeared in leading economic journals, including the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, and Journal of Economic Theory. Andolfatto has been a Visiting Scholar at the Bank of Canada, the Bank of Japan, La Banca de la Republica (Colombia), and De Nederlandsche Bank, along with several Federal Reserve banks. In 2009, he was awarded the prestigious Bank of Canada Fellowship Award for his contributions in money, banking, and monetary policy. Andolfatto is a native of Vancouver, Canada, and received his PhD in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in 1994.
