Cynthia Crawford is senior policy counsel at the Americans for Prosperity Foundation, where she focuses on regulatory issues, freedom of expression, and educational freedom. Crawford previously worked as senior litigation counsel with the Cause of Action Institute, where she focused on defending clients against government overreach, with an emphasis on constitutionally protected individual rights. She also worked in private practice, doing complex business litigation with Nixon Peabody LLP and LeClairRyan. Crawford holds a BA in applied mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley; a JD and an MA in American government from Georgetown University; and an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management.
