Antony Davies

Antony Davies is currently Director of Economic Research at a financial institution in the Washington DC area. Prior to this, he was a tenured professor of economics and statistics at several universities where he taught at the undergraduate and Ph.D. levels. His areas of research include econometric analysis and public policy. He authored Understanding Statistics (Cato Institute), Principles of Microeconomics (Cognella), Cooperation & Coercion (ISI Books), and hundreds of op-eds appearing in, among others, the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, New York Post, and Washington Post. His educational videos have tens of millions of downloads on YouTube, and his weekly podcast, Words & Numbers, has over 350 episodes and 2 million downloads. Davies was Chief Financial Officer at Parabon Computation, founded several technology companies, and is co-author on a patent for distributed super-computation. He earned his B.S. in Economics from Saint Vincent College, and Ph.D. in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany.
