Andrew Mast is the director of web communications at the Cato Institute, and is responsible for the maintenance and editorial focus of several of Cato’s websites. Prior to joining Cato in 2006, Mast served as a web editor at the Brookings Institution, and before that, Economy.com. He has also done research for the World Bank, writing qualitative analysis on poverty in Albania. Mast holds a B.A. with Honors in English Literature from Swarthmore College, and a Master of Social Science in Comparative and African Politics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
