Adam Omary

Research Fellow

Adam Omary is a research fellow at the Cato Institute’s Center for Global Liberty and Prosperity studying the psychology of human progress. He writes regularly for Human​Progress​.org and his Psychology of Progress newsletter.

Omary has conducted research on a variety of topics, including hormones and brain development (as an NIH Fellow working on the Human Connectome Project), sex differences in adolescent mental health, and psychosocial impacts of social media use. His articles have been published on Psychology Today and numerous academic journals including Child Development, Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience, The Journal of Child Neurology, The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, and Cyberpsychology.

Omary completed his PhD in Psychology at Harvard University and was a QuestBridge Scholar at the University of Southern California, where he earned his BA in Cognitive Science and MS in Biostatistics.
