Aaron Steelman is a senior fellow and policy advisor at the Cato Institute. He started his career as a staff writer at Cato in 1996. He rejoined Cato in 2021 after working as a Washington correspondent for Investor’s Business Daily, an editor at Dimensional Fund Advisors, and director of research publications at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. His primary responsibility at Cato is to edit policy papers and other publications. He served as an assistant editor of The Encyclopedia of Libertarianism and holds a BA in economics from the University of Michigan and an MA in the social sciences from the University of Chicago.
