In a new article, Cato Senior Fellow Doug Bandow states that President Donald Trump “should seek to freeze, not end, Pyongyang’s nuclear weapons program.”
He argues that the US has no threat or offer to achieve denuclearization. Sanctions have proven ineffective and now, Moscow is helping to guarantee the DPRK’s survival.
Bandow suggests “Trump’s objective should be to cap and limit the DPRK’s nuclear stockpile.”
