Last year, Meta made notable improvements to the Threads timeline, allowing users to create personalized feeds and select their preferred default feed. Now, Meta has unveiled an additional feature for Threads: the capability to share these custom feeds with others.
In a recent statement, David Inserra, Fellow for Free Expression and Technology at the Cato Institute says: “Earlier this week, Meta announced that it would be allowing its users on its Threads platform to share their custom feeds, allowing users far greater choice in how their news feed is curated. Many social media companies have resisted this move, but they seem to recognize that users can and are moving to new platforms that provide better experiences online. One way to compete for such users in the market for online platforms is to give them greater control over their feeds. This Threads change does just that.”
