Cato Institute Senior Fellow Walter Olson is available for interviews in light of tomorrow’s Maryland State Senate hearing on Senate Bill 0383, which would introduce ranked-choice voting in presidential primaries in Maryland.
Olson has written extensively on the topic of ranked-choice voting, and discussed it on the Cato Daily Podcast here.
In August 2024, Olson co-authored a Baltimore Sun op-ed with Michael Sozan and Cissy Jackson of the Center for American Progress, titled “We Can Mend Our National Division.” In the piece, the authors name ranked-choice voting as a potential structural voting reform to help us move past our polarization.
If you would like to speak with Olson on this issue, please contact me to set up an interview.
