Flemming Rose, Foreign Editor at the Danish newspaper Jyllands‐Posten, published cartoons of the prophet Muhammad in 2006, inciting a worldwide firestorm. In the his new book, The Tyranny of Silence: How One Cartoon Ignited a Global Debate on the Future of Free Speech, he not only recounts that story, but takes a hard look at the slippery slope of attempts to limit free speech.

Join Rose for a very special discussion on Reddit’s AMA forum for a chance ask the iconic figure a question of your own.

Rose’s personal experiences give him a unique perspective on the importance of freedom of speech in a world that is increasingly multicultural, multireligious, and multiethnic. Rose will elaborate on how those experiences have influenced the way he views the world and share tales of meetings with dissidents from the former Soviet Union and ex‐Muslims living in Europe.

Featuring Flemming Rose, Foreign Editor, Jyllands‐Posten, and Author, Tyranny of Silence.
