The administration’s recent waiver of the Jones Act for energy products and fertilizer created a unique opportunity to examine the practical effects of one of America’s most consequential transportation laws. This forum will explore what policymakers can learn from the waiver, how it affected commercial activity and the movement of goods, and what insights it offers about the law’s impact on the US economy. Cato’s Colin Grabow will join Chris Sununu, president and CEO of Airlines for America and former governor of New Hampshire, to analyze the waiver’s real-world implications from both a policy and industry perspective and discuss what lessons should inform future debates.
Lunch to Follow.
