The Cato Institute’s Impact
THE IMPACT OF THE CATO INSTITUTE
For over 30 years, the Cato Institute has worked to change the climate of ideas. The cumulative effect of this effort is real impact today. Here's how Cato puts Sponsors' contributions to work.
The Center for Global Development's index of think tank performance in the United States ranked the Cato Institute at the very top on a per-dollar comparison with 17 other think tanks (many of them far larger). Rankings were determined by dividing performance indicators — media mentions, scholarly citations, web use, and more — by annual spending.
