Thomas A. Firey is managing editor of the Cato Institute's magazine Regulation. He also is senior fellow for the Maryland Public Policy Institute. Firey has published op-eds in the New York Times, the Washington Post, USA Today, Hartford Courant, and the Baltimore Sun. Firey holds a bachelors in political science from St. Mary's College of Md., a masters in philosophy from Virginia Tech, and is pursuing a doctorate in economics at George Mason University.
