David Beckworth is an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute, an assistant professor of economics at Western Kentucky University, and former international economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and assistant professor of economics at Texas State University. He has done research on the assessment of monetary policy, the transmission mechanisms through which it works, and its impact on the global, national, and regional economies. He has published in several leading scholarly journals including Economic Inquiry, Applied Economics Letters, Journal of Macroeconomics, The Cato Journal, and the North American Journal of Economics and Finance.
