Immigration Policy for a Free Society
Cato Sponsor e-Briefing
Thursday, October 20, 2011
Noon – 1 p.m. EDT
Featuring a presentation and live discussion with Daniel Griswold, Director, Herbert A. Stiefel Center for Trade Policy Studies, Cato Institute; moderated by Caleb O. Brown, Director of Multimedia.
This month's e-Briefing features a discussion with immigration and trade policy expert Daniel Griswold. Dan will describe the current paralysis in U.S. immigration policy and what changes we need to make to promote a more open, free, and prosperous society. He will talk about the need to create more opportunity for legal immigration, for both high-skilled and low-skilled foreign-born workers, and why the Republican obsession with "enforcement only" of current law is misguided.
