Andrew Mast is the senior director of digital and multimedia content at the Cato Institute. Prior to joining Cato in 2006, Mast served as a web editor at the Brookings Institution and, before that, Econ​o​my​.com.

Mast has also done research for the World Bank, writing qualitative analysis on poverty in Albania.

He holds a BA with honors in English literature from Swarthmore College and a Master of Social Science in comparative and African politics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
