# Homelessness, Law Enforcement and Human Rights 

People experiencing homelessness are often disproportionately targeted by law enforcement due to laws that prohibit everyday actions like sitting in public. These laws are unjust: enforcing them hurts people experiencing homelessness and California as a whole. In addition to building more housing, California cities can chart a better course by getting rid of these policies that hurt people experiencing homelessness.
