# You Can Fool Some of the Audiences Some of the Time…

According to *[Education Week](http://blogs.edweek.org/edweek/curriculum/2011/05/arne_duncan_on_national_curric.html)*, yesterday U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan told an audience at the National Center on Education and the Economy that “we have not and will not prescribe a national curriculum.” Many in attendance got a good laugh out of that one.
