I have a [piece](http://www.afsa.org/FSJ/0910/index.html#/38/) in the latest issue of *Foreign Service Journal* that details [the ongoing clash of competing strategic interests](http://www.afsa.org/FSJ/0910/index.html#/38/) among the United States, Pakistan, India, Iran, and other regional powers in Afghanistan. It’s a point I’ve belabored in the past (see [here](http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2009/jan/27/obama-india-pakistan-relations), [here](https://www.cato.org/event.php?eventid=6215), [here](https://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=10202), and [here](https://www.cato.org/pubs/policy_report/v32n3/cpr32n3-3.pdf), for example), yet it remains an understated problem in Washington’s Central and South Asia policy. C’est la vie.

Check it out!
