As my colleague [Dan Mitchell ](https://www.cato.org/2009/02/25/is-libertarianism-a-sign-of-mental-illness/)has noted, Harvard is about to hold a [conference](http://isites.harvard.edu/icb/icb.do?keyword=k13943&tabgroupid=icb.tabgroup68722) about how the “free market ideology has *dominated* legal discourse and lawmaking the last few decades.” That’s a [dubious](https://www.cato.org/2007/06/25/regulatory-burden-reaches-record-level/) [narrative](https://www.cato.org/2008/04/21/the-truth-about-milton-friedman/) (to say the [least](https://www.cato.org/tech/pubs/10kc_2004.pdf) (pdf)).

In any event, Harvard alums who read this blog should know that Cato adjunct scholar [Harvey Silverglate ](https://www.cato.org/people/harvey-silverglate) is running for a position on Harvard’s [Board of Overseers](http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2009/02/25/free_speech_at_harvard/). Pass the word to all the Harvard alumni you may know.
