# Scott Lincicome Named Regular *Washington Post* Opinion Contributor

**Washington, September 23, 2026** — The Cato Institute is pleased to announce that[ Scott Lincicome](https://www.cato.org/people/scott-lincicome), vice president of general economics and the Herbert A. Stiefel Center for Trade Policy Studies, has been named a regular opinion contributor to *The Washington Post*.

Lincicome will bring his expertise and independent perspective on international and domestic economic issues, including international trade, subsidies and industrial policy, manufacturing and global supply chains, and economic dynamism.

Before joining Cato, Lincicome spent two decades practicing international trade law. He is also a senior visiting lecturer at Duke University School of Law and regularly contributes analysis and commentary across print, television, radio, podcasts, and digital media.
