# Trump Proposes U.S. ‘Golden Dome’ Missile Defense — but Experts Voice Skepticism

President Donald Trump has called for a new “Golden Dome” missile defense system modeled after Israel’s Iron Dome. It would combine ground- and space-based capabilities to intercept incoming missile threats.

But not everyone is convinced.
