Teachers are striking in Chicago, at a very interesting time for organized labor generally and teachers unions specifically. In the wake of a politically huge loss in Wisconsin and declining support even among many Democrats, is this the final union stand? What effect might it have on the presidential election? And might the hobbling of teachers unions finally put American education on the path to success?
