# Data Dashboard 

This interactive visualization lets users compare the grades, ranks, and scores of states and governors. Hovering over a section of the diamond grid, a grade/​rank/​score on either axis, the overall grade/​rank/​score on the right, or a state dot will highlight the corresponding item. The category columns on the left show the highlighted states’ or governors’ position in each policy category. It also works in the reverse: Hovering over a dot in a category column will highlight that state or governor and their place on the grid. Scores are normalized and range from ten (best) to zero (worst). Ranks range from 1 (best) to 50 (worst).
