##### Featuring

Featuring **Sally Pipes**, President and CEO, Pacific Research Institute; **Michael Cannon**, Director of Health Policy Studies, Cato Institute; and moderated by **Michael Tanner**, Senior Fellow, Cato Institute.

Government-run health systems, such as the one in Canada, are pointed to by those on different sides of the issue as examples of what to do or not to do in health reform. What lessons do these systems hold for the United States as it attempts to overhaul its health care system? What policies should Congress steer clear of? Join Michael Cannon, director of health policy studies at the Cato Institute and co-author of *[Healthy Competition: What’s Holding Back Health Care and How to Free It](https://www.cato.org/store/index.asp?fa=ProductDetails&method=cats&scid=33&pid=1441272)*, and Sally Pipes, president and CEO of the Pacific Research Institute and author of *Top Ten Myths of American Health Care: A Citizen’s Guide*, for a discussion. Pipes will recount her firsthand experience with the Canadian health care system, and both panelists will explore what lies ahead for the United States.
