##### About the Book

The Washington foreign policy establishment demands that the United States remain the dominant power in the Middle East. Neoconservatives and others want unstinting support for Israel. Arabists want America to broker a peaceful solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict. Hadar concludes that it is time for the United States to disengage from the region and adopt a policy of benign neglect. Quagmire points the way to a stable and prosperous future for all peoples of the Middle East.
