# Rally for School Choice in the District

[Congress](http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123655897787566447.html) and the [Obama](https://www.cato.org/2009/04/15/duncan-the-mercenary-obama-the-coward/) [administration](https://www.cato.org/2009/04/22/arne-duncan-wins-the-chutzpa-award/) issued a death sentence for the District’s Opportunity Scholarship Program. That means more than 1,700 students could be [forced out of good schools into the dangerous, failing, and expensive DC public school system](https://www.cato.org/2009/04/06/in-education-success-is-an-orphan/).

Everyone who cares about these children and school choice should **head to Freedom Plaza this coming Wednesday, May 6th from 1:00 — 2:00 pm** for a [rally](http://www.dcchildrenfirst.org/website/download.asp?id=52) to demonstrate support for these children and educational freedom.
