From the ongoing new and interesting stuff appearing at [Libertarianism.org](http://www.libertarianism.org):

- The philosopher [J. C. Lester](http://www.libertarianism.org/people/j-c-lester) joined us as a guest blogger. He’s put up [four](http://www.libertarianism.org/blog/critical-rationalist-libertarianism) [posts](http://www.libertarianism.org/blog/what-is-liberty) [so](http://www.libertarianism.org/blog/proactive-imposition) [far](http://www.libertarianism.org/blog/putting-critical-rationalism-libertarianism), all explaining his theory of “critical-rationalist libertarianism,” which draws on the thinking of Karl Popper to argue that it is epistemologically impossible to justify theories. “One can only admit that libertarianism is a conjecture and deal with criticisms of it,” Lester writes. Lester’s writing brought responses from the Libertarianism.org bloggers: [John Samples](http://www.libertarianism.org/blog/falsifying-government), [Jason Kuznicki](http://www.libertarianism.org/blog/popperian-politics-liberal-or-conservative), and [me](http://www.libertarianism.org/blog/libertarianism-without-argument).
- David Boaz wrote his first blog post at Libertarianism.org, [arguing for the reality–and recognition–of moral progress.](http://www.libertarianism.org/blog/reality-moral-progress)
- George H. Smith posted a new *Excursions* essay, part of his series on the intellectual roots of state education. This time, Smith [turned to the views of Plato’s most famous student.](http://www.libertarianism.org/publications/essays/excursions/roots-state-education-part-3-aristotle-civic-virtue)
- Jonathan Blanks published a controversial essay, [“Why ‘Libertarian’ Defenses of the Confederacy and ‘States’ Rights’ are Incoherent,”](http://www.libertarianism.org/publications/essays/why-libertarian-defenses-confederacy-states-rights-are-incoherent) as well as [a lengthy response](http://www.libertarianism.org/blog/response-commenters) to his critics.

We also released two new videos this week, featuring [Gene Burns](http://www.libertarianism.org/media/video-collection/gene-burns-nature-role-government) on the nature and role of government and [Gerald O’Driscoll](http://www.libertarianism.org/media/video-collection/gerald-odriscoll-order-organization-society) on order and organization in society.
