# Missouri Joining the REAL ID Rebellion

The Missouri House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly Thursday to reject the REAL ID Act.

Representative Jim Guest (R- King City) is [quoted in the Carthage Press](http://www.carthagepress.com/articles/2007/03/16/news/02%20missouri.txt) saying, ‘‘We must not lose what this nation was founded upon. The Real ID Act is a direct frontal assault on our freedoms.’’

[The bill](http://www.house.mo.gov/bills071/bills/hcr20.htm) now goes to the Senate.
