Yesterday, the Idaho Senate passed [Joint Memorial 3](http://search.state.id.us/search97cgi/s97_cgi.exe?action=View&VdkVgwKey=http%3A%2F%2Fwww3%2Estate%2Eid%2Eus%2Foasis%2FHJM003%2Ehtml&doctype=raw&Collection=2007+Session+Legislation), earlier approved unanimously by the House, to refuse implementation of the REAL ID Act. More info [here](http://www.aclu.org/safefree/general/28942prs20070308.html).

I testified on the bill in the Idaho House’s Transportation and Defense Committee, and participated in a panel discussion at the Idaho statehouse, where some [common sense was heard](https://www.cato.org/2007/02/14/some-sensible-thoughts-on-the-real-id-act/).
