Speaking to some 500 libertarian students at the [International Students for Liberty Conference](http://politicalconferences.org/2010/07/2011-international-students-for-liberty-conference/) last weekend, Cato adjunct scholar Tyler Cowen noted:

> Rep. Paul Ryan gave an alternative State of the Union address without mentioning Social Security or Medicare. That’s like discussing the Miami Heat without mentioning LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, or Chris Bosh.
