# False Choices

NPR reports this morning that the FBI is trying to find out whether the cause of the financial crisis was “simply greed, or whether laws were broken.”

Perhaps both institutions are just not attuned to the problem of [misguided laws and bad institutions](http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122298982558700341.html).
