A [petition has been filed](http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/local/articles/0702sanctions0702.html) in Arizona to qualify a ballot initiative that would reverse the E‑Verify mandate that went into effect there in January.

My recent paper on E‑Verify is [here](https://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=9256), and I’ve posted [about E‑Verify](https://www.cato.org/2008/01/30/e-verify-slow-and-unsteady-in-arizona/) in [Arizona](https://www.cato.org/2008/05/01/az-verify/) a [few times](https://www.cato.org/2008/05/13/measuring-the-cost-of-e-verify-red-tape/).
