Senate Finance Committee Considers Proposals to Cut Wasteful Medicare Spending

The proposed Part D redesign and subsidy cap are steps in the right direction. They would not impose price controls; they would encourage insurers to drive harder bargains with drug manufacturers, to the benefit of taxpayers. They would not increase taxes; they would reduce wasteful Medicare spending and the burden of government by a projected $85 billion over 10 years.

Let Intersex Individuals Choose Their Destiny

The California Senate is considering a bill requiring postponement of non‐​lifesaving surgery to change the sex characteristics of an intersex minor until that individual becomes old enough to give informed consent.
