Thomas M. Magstadt has published widely on a variety of topics, including U.S.-Russian and U.S.-European relations, and the process of democratization in Eastern Europe. His work has appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, National Review, Reason, and the Des Moines Register, and a number of other newspapers, magazines, and journals. He is the author of Nations and Governments: Comparative Politics in Regional Perspective, 4th edition, and Understanding Politics: Ideas, Institutions and Issues, 6th edition.
