Jeff Patch is a Budget Fellow who focuses on federal earmarks. Prior to joining Cato, he was the Press Secretary for Rep. Tom Latham of Iowa. He's a former reporter at Politico, where he covered lobbying and advocacy. Patch, an Iowa native, worked as a correspondent for the Des Moines Register and holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from the University of Iowa.
