Berna Yiğit Brannon is a Social Security analyst with the Cato Institute's Project on Social Security Choice. Brannon's research focuses on the Social Security system and the development of reform plans that involve individual accounts. She has been a guest on numerous radio shows nationwide, and has also given presentations at academic conferences and in front of a wide variety of groups.
Prior to joining the Cato Institute she worked for the Strategic Analysis Group at the Miller Brewing Company. She received an M.S. in Applied Economics from Marquette University and a B.S. in Economics as well as Applied Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
