The policies of the 1990s in Latin America culminated in low growth and economic turmoil in much of the region. The mistaken perception that the free market was tried and failed has led to the rise of neopopulist rhetoric and incoherent policy views in much, though not all, of Latin America. The International Foundation for Liberty was founded by market liberals from the Americas and Spain to counter those views and to make the case for a modern Latin America by vigorously defending free society and its institutions. Please join us for the foundation's inaugural event in Washington where speakers will discuss why and how to implement a still-elusive agenda to achieve the rule of law, limited constitutional democracy, and open markets .

This conference is free of charge. Registrations must be received by 12:00 noon on Monday, September 29.
