In this new collection of essays Wendy Kaminer takes aim at a wide range of threats to civil liberties. The author of I'm Dysfunctional, You're Dysfunctional and Sleeping with Extra-Terrestrials, Kaminer looks at privacy, freedom of speech, sexual harassment, separation of church and state, "anti-individualism left and right," and the ways that civil rights can conflict with civil liberties. Many of the essays criticize what she sees as sacrifices of civil liberties after September 11. "Blind faith in government is nearly as dangerous as terrorism," she warns. Please join us for a lively exchange of views.
