On the air, and in his new book, Larry Elder talks about racism, media bias, illegitimacy, welfare, gun control, the war on drugs, and other controversial topics. When he says there are "things you can't say," he's not kidding. A few years ago his critics launched a major campaign to get KABC to fire him for his libertarian views – which they found especially outrageous coming from a black man – and they almost succeeded. Today his afternoon-drive show is a big success, and he's planning to preside as a judge on Moral Court, a new daily television show, beginning in October.
