Public Accessibility

Navigation: Mississippi’s Department of Education website is easy to navigate in general but some of the data is difficult to locate. The menu bar on the homepage contains a link to “Public Reports” in the dropdown box under the “Reports” heading. The Superintendent’s Annual Report is located on that page under the “Report” dropdown box on the menu bar. The dropdown box contains a list of the years that the reports were published, but years 2004–05 through 2008–09 appear to be missing. In fact, only years 2007–08 and 2008–09 are missing while the other reports are located in the links for years 1999–00 through 2003–04.

Ease of Public Analysis: Mississippi’s financial data are provided in PDF format only, which limits the ability of users to analyze the data.
